The 300 training is made up of five different 30-hour required courses (aka modules) that can be taken in any order plus 5 or more elective courses of your choice.  A 200-hr RYT certification is required if you wish to pursue a 500-hr certification.

The 300-hr Teacher Training tuition is refundable up to 30 days before the training; however, a $500 deposit fee (included in tuition) will not be refunded if your spot is not filled following a last-minute cancellation. This is due to the expenses we pay upfront to the teachers and facilities to reserve conference spaces and purchase flights for traveling teachers. We have limited Scholarships available based on need and budget. Our Scholarships cover 30% of the tuition, and a service project is required after you complete the training. Apply here

time commitment:

Weekend Courses will include Friday nights from 5 to 9 pm and Saturdays + Sundays from approximately 8 am to 6 pm.

  • 100% attendance to all sessions, or make-up hours/contact hours may be prearranged with the Lead Trainer.

  • 300 hours of required and elective courses must be completed within 4 years.

  • Some outside study time, required reading, and homework outside of the group sessions will be required. These assignments will be communicated via email as soon as you register for the teacher training program.

Course material for the 500-hour yoga teacher training

You will receive a manual for each weekend course, and each manual will fit into your master 500-hour yoga teacher training notebook. All students are required to purchase the required reading books on the subject material, such as yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga business, yoga philosophy, the yoga sutras, hatha yoga, yoga ethics, yoga lifetsyle etc. These books are available for purchase on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Used Books, or any other major book retailer. The required reading will contribute to your training hours.

 

500-RYT – Gaining your 500-hour yoga teacher training certification

Our program consists of 300+ hours of coursework and practicum, exceeding the yoga alliance standards. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for the RYT-500 designation from the Canadian Yoga Alliance. This program is for students that have already completed a 200-hour basic yoga teacher training with Atlas Yoga School or any other certified yoga school. 

Yes, you will receive an official 300-Hour Teacher Training Certification after you pass the final exam with an 80% or higher and have completed all the course materials and quizzes. Once you receive your certificate, you can register with Yoga Alliance if you choose. The 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training combined with your previous 200-hour teacher training will then make you a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, per Yoga Alliance standards.

 

Payment Plans

We offer a 6-month or a 12-month payment plan. The tuition cost for the 500-hr yoga teacher training is $3,999 if you pay upfront with any method of payment, The 6-month payment plan is $708.33 per month for a total of $4,250. The 12-month payment plan is broken down to $375 monthly for a total of $4,500 tuition paid. Your yoga teacher training tuition is a tax write-off if you are or become a professional yoga teacher (any job private or public in which people pay you for teaching yoga classes).

Our community of knowledgeable, experienced and open-hearted teachers are committed to walking this path with each of you as we strive to help ourselves and others find this unity and reconnection through the practice of yoga.

 

We come from a background of traditional yoga techniques and a strong foundation based on the yoga sutras and yoga philosophies of Hatha yoga, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, while integrating other progressive and traditional yoga techniques including Kundalini yoga, Buti yoga, Iyengar yoga. We love to honor all lineages and believe that all yoga is good yoga. We incorporate the practices of pranayama, yoga nidra, mudras, and other meditation techniques into our course material, our classes and our practice.

 

You will gain the confidence and skills to become an effective and inspiring yoga teacher - not only through your training hours but through your personal practice, through the deep connections you will make with your teacher training cohort, and most importantly, through personal challenge and accomplishment of completing your 500-hour yoga teacher training.

 

500-RYT (500-hour registered yoga teacher certification) acceptance at other any studios, gyms, or corporate private fitness setting

We are a Registered Yoga School (RYS®) with Yoga Alliance. Students who are already an RYT-200 and complete our 300-hour yoga advanced yoga teacher training will be able to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500.

Most gyms, studios or corporate fitness settings will recognize a Yoga Alliance certification, and you will be prepared to teach to any level of practitioner. Always check the employment requirements of the organization you are interested in before applying for yoga instructor jobs, as we cannot speak to every organization’s employment requirements. Many of our students are employed at workplaces, schools, fitness centers, gyms, studios, community centers, churches, universities, healthcare settings, and with private clients.

 

Advanced yoga studies for those who are not yoga teachers

You are welcome to take any of the courses offered in the advanced yoga teacher training program, and many of these courses are great opportunities to deepen your practice and dip your toe into the idea of becoming a yoga teacher. You are also welcome to participate in this training at the same time or overlapping a 200-hour yoga teacher training.
